This is a natural stone that contains a red sparkle within clear quartz. The shimmering red inclusions are crystals of lepidocrocite, which is mainly composed of iron. It has a scaly or needle-like shape and is known in Japanese as "Rintetsu-ko" (scaly iron ore).
This particular stone has a highly transparent quartz base, allowing the sparkle of the included lepidocrocite to be clearly seen. The incredibly fine cut reflects light beautifully from its facets.
