This is a Herkimer-type quartz from Pakistan. It is very similar to Herkimer diamonds, but it is a different natural stone. "Herkimer diamond" is a name exclusively given to stones found in the Herkimer region of America, but quartz with a very similar shape and luster is given names such as "Herkimer-type."
This natural stone is popular for its raw, double-terminated shape. It has a transparent clarity that allows the background to show through, and its size gives it a strong presence. This stone contains black inclusions and rough indentations from when it was removed from the matrix rock. Please be aware of this before purchasing.
